American Battery Factory Breaks Ground On Largest U.S. Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery Cell Gigafactory In Tucson
TUCSON, AZ (October 26, 2023) — American Battery Factory (ABF), an emerging battery manufacturer leading the development of the first network of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cell gigafactories in the United States, today broke ground on a two million square foot gigafactory located in Tucson, Arizona. The site will provide an estimated 1,000 jobs, $1.2 billion in capital investment and $3.1 billion in economic impact to the state, with the first phase of construction is expected to be complete by 2025.

CMC Celebrates Grand Opening Of New Micro Mill In Mesa
MESA, AZ (October 25, 2023) – CMC (Commercial Metals Company; NYSE: CMC), along with state and local officials and their honored guests today celebrated the grand opening of CMC's new micro mill located in Mesa, Arizona. The mill is CMC’s third micro mill and will be the first in the world to produce merchant bar quality (MBQ) products through a continuous production process and will create over 180 new jobs.
